  • I have an electric scarifier and lawn strimmer which need cleaning and checking.
Can I donate them to you to sell for your organisation?

    • I am afraid we have no storage facilities so we are unable to take donations of equipment. Thanks for the offer though.

I have just returned home with my fixed ‘standard lamp’ repaired by Tim. Unfortunately the screw top with which the plastic bulb holder fits into has broken. I gave Tim the new metal screw thread holder…….we had a conversation re the metal one would be better but the plastic one would be ok. Please could I come bk to the next Repair Cafe for Tim to replace the old metal thread for the new metal one?
Hope I have explained this correctly?

    • I will be more than willing to repair the lamp again.
I would recommend getting a new bulb holder made of metal (brass probably)
It would make the lamp much more durable. The plastic one is not Ideal for that size of lamp.

  • I have a Vax Power glide, hard floor water vacuum that is not working. I am unable to identify whether the problem is with the battery or the unit. Would someone be able to look at it?

    • Please bring it along on Saturday between 10am and 12:30pm and we will see what can be done with it.

  • I have a petrol grass trimmer that I don’t know how to start. Would someone be patient enough to show me how to start it in person.

    • Someone probably can, but you would need to bring it along to a session. The next Repair Czfe eill be on Saturday 13th July. If you can fill in a Repair Request with the details of the trimmer including make and model someone may be able to give you a more helpful reply.
